Award-winning journalist and international author Sarah Bullen and her filmmaker husband were living an idyllic life in their 30s. However, their world was turned upside down when her husband realized that his ‘entranced moments’ were actually symptoms of a brain tumor. Choosing to combat the cancer through African shamanic practices, the couple embarked on a journey into a mystical world of ritual and ceremony.
The Unthinkable Happens
In a twist of fate, just a month before her husband’s death, Sarah herself fell gravely ill with pneumonia. Within 24 hours, she was in a coma and on life support, fighting for her own life. She remained in the coma for three weeks, during which time she had a near-death experience, traveling through other realms and worlds.
